“Miley, have you ever thought about having a concert on the beach?” Lilly asked looking out at the water as she lay on her beach towel. “No, I’ve never thought of that. But it’s a good idea.” Miley said rubbing some sun- cream on her legs. “Just think about it, then people would get to see your house too!” Lilly said. “Woah, hold on. No one said anything about letting fans in my house.” Miley said looking at Lilly with a shocked face, to think that even her best friend would have to courage to suggest that. “Do you know how many crazed- and I mean crazed- fans there are out there? Some could steel something…or…or… I dunno! Sorry, I just don’t like the idea.” Miley sighed putting her sun- glasses back on. “Suit yourself.” Lilly said getting up, “I’m gonna take a swim.”
“Ok,” Miley replied. Lilly’s idea actually isn’t that bad…but how do I tell her that I’m now considering the idea? I guess I can just hide all the things that I don’t want at risk of being stolen.. wait.. that would be everything. Oh! This is so tough! Miley thought. “Hey, Lilly, wait up!” Miley yelled running into the water by Lilly.
Later than evening, Jackson, their dad, and Miley were sitting at the kitchen table having dinner. “So have you made up your mind if you want to have a concert on our beach?” Robby, Miley’s dad, asked. Oh no! How did he find out I was considering it! … Lilly. Miley growled inside her head, “Uh, no. I haven’t decided yet.” Miley quickly answered. “Daddy, can I be excused?” “Sure, darlin’. Everything alright?” Robby asked. “Yeah…just fine.” Miley smiled. “Good.” Robby smiled back. As Miley sat on the steps over her spinning closet, she started to think. Should I let my fans tour the house? Who am I kidding! No way! But wait… it would make the fans so happy. Uhh! This is so tough! “Miley! Can I come in?” Jackson asked. “Sure…” Miley said wondering what her brother planned to do in her room. “Can I go on your spinning closet? Please?” Jackson begged. “Umm…yeah. I guess.” Miley said. Awkward. She thought. “Thanks!” Jackson said pressing the button to make the closet spin, “Wee!” He yelled. “Brothers. When will they ever grow up?” Miley said to herself. “This is fun!” Jackson yelled again. I- yi- yi- yi- yi! Where did we go wrong with this boy??? Miley sighed.
“Alright, Miles. I’m done.” Jackson said, dizzily waving back and forth his body. “It’s about time.” Miley said. “I’ll be back at my usual time.” Jackson said. “Jackson, you can’t come in my closet whenever you want…no matter how fun it may be.” Miley blushed, “But anyway, leave!” Miley yelled pointing to the door. “Fine, fine.” Jackson said walking out her door.
The next day at school was no better for Miley. A nightmare she thought was never possible to come true…came true. Jackson was at her school! What was he doing? I bet he’s here to embarrass me. Miley thought. Just what I need. She sighed again. “Miley!” Jackson yelled. Oh no, he’s spotted me! “Jackson, what are you doing here?” Miley asked. “You forgot your lunch, little sister.” Jackson smiled handing her a smelly paper bag. “Thanks…I think.” Miley said sniffing the bag… ewww, what’s in here? “It’s your favorite, tuna.” Jackson said. “Oh! How did you know?” Miley said sweetly. “Took a lucky guess.” Jackson said. “Now, Jackson, you really have to go!” Miley said. “Why the rush? I have no school today, I thought I’d hang here with you.” Jackson said putting his arm around her shoulder. “Great.” Miley said in a “happy” voice. Just great. “So, when do you guys have lunch? I’m starved.” Jackson asked. “Jackson, I really insist you leave.” Miley said pushing him towards the door. “Miley, don’t you want to spend time with me?” Jackson asked. “Jackson, what is up with you? You can’t stay at my school since you don’t go here, you have to leave!” Miley yelled pushing him closer to the door, “Fine. I’ll leave.” Jackson sighed. Finally. Miley groaned in her head. “But,” Jackson hesitated. Oh no, what now? Miley thought. “First, I need to say hi to your teacher.” Jackson said. “Jackson! What is up with you? You’re acting all nice to me, staying at my school to be with me, and want to talk to my teacher!” Miley yelled. “Miley! I’m sorry! It’s just… I want to be a good brother, and I know I’ve never really been “nice” to you.” Jackson apologized, “Sorry if I went a little over board.”
That night, Miley started to think again… Ok, I’ve made up my mind. I’ll have the concert on the beach…but I won’t let the fans in my house. And that’s final. “Miley, can I come in?” Lilly asked knocking on her door. “Yeah, sure.” Miley said.
